I read a variety of books by many different writers. Many are new to me, and sometimes I am very pleased. I've discovered some new favorites. Of course, some don't impress me a lot, and I tell you why. (You might very well have another opinion about the same book. That's fine! Let me know your thoughts.) I try to be kind while telling my true feelings about the books I read. If I really dislike a book, I won't review it on my blog.
Most of my reading is from Christian books. They may use a variety of different Bible translations, and the authors may have different associations and religious backgrounds. My reviews are about the basic merit of the book itself and not a commentary on the author's life, background, theological position, or associations. If I like a book, it is not a blanket endorsement. If I recommend a book, I believe a discerning Christian will find it an enjoyable read.
My reviews represent my personal thoughts only. Enjoy!
